Lottery Funding

North Edinburgh Drug and Alcohol Centre:

The Complex and Multiple Needs Service are continuing to support their community thanks to National Lottery funding.

Our Complex and Multiple Needs Service have received a further 3 years funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. The National Lottery Community Fund has supported us for the past 3 years, providing the majority of our funding to work with those affected by Mental health and Substance use, who have poor physical health, are socially isolated and who repeatedly struggle to access and be retained in Mainstream Treatments Services. This extension to our funding will allow us to continue to provide Case Management and Support to our existing clients to overcome the additional difficulties they will face, dealing with the effects of COVID-19 on them their communities and the services they require.

The Complex and Multiple Needs Service already have a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund that has allowed us to develop and deliver the service while advocating for recognition for those at risk of exclusion and isolation. Throughout Lockdowns we have maintained contact with the majority of our existing clients, ensuring they were supported through the current crisis. In the new landscape of treatment provision we are working to provide this essential service and be a part of the continued community response to the current crisis.

NEDAC’s Complex and Multiple Needs Service manager, Danny Campbell, said: “We welcome the Lottery extension at such a crucial time for all services and their continued support for our work is appreciated”

Neil Ritch, Scotland Director, The National Lottery Community Fund, said: “In these uncertain times our priority is to ensure that National Lottery money continues to flow to charities, voluntary sector organisations and grassroots groups. I would like to congratulate NEDAC’s, Complex and Multiple Needs Service, on the work they are doing. Theirs is an important project that will support people now during the current crisis, and in the future when they can physically come back together to make great things happen in their community.”

Over the next six months, The National Lottery Community Fund are prioritising grant application for community activity related to COVID-19. To find out more visit www.tnlcommunityfund.org.uk.
